What diamond grit should I start with on a concrete floor?

For most concrete grinding and prep work, start with 16–30 grit metal bond diamonds to open the floor and remove coatings or adhesive. Then progress through 40–60 grit, transition to resin bonds at 100–200 grit for honing, and finish with 400–3000 grit resin pads for polishing. Your starting grit depends on floor hardness and what you're removing.

What tools remove epoxy coatings or glue from concrete?

PCD (polycrystalline diamond) scrapers and hard-bond diamond cup wheels are most effective for removing thick epoxy coatings and adhesive residue from concrete. For thinner coatings, soft-bond metal diamonds work well. We can spec the right tool for your coating type and thickness.

Product Overview

SP‑15 is a high‑viscosity, nonylphenol‑free, three‑component epoxy patching paste that cures to a non‑shrinking, high‑strength repair. Once set it can be shaped, sanded, or ground to match the surrounding concrete.

Filling holes, cracks, divots, and non‑moving joints in concrete
Feather‑edge transitions between different slab elevations

Kit Contents (one mix)

Part A – 32 fl oz epoxy resin
Part B – 16 fl oz cycloaliphatic amine hardener
Part C – 3 lb silica‑free filler (PN 1170)
Total mixed yield: 0.5 gal | Coverage ≈ 3.2 ft² @ ¼″ or 150 LF of ¼″ × ¼″ joint

Mix Ratio & Application
